Sway Bars for PSS9's?

Someone recently pointed out that the PSS9's don't include sway bars whereas the ROW M030 set up includes shocks, springs and sway bars. For those of you who have upgraded to PSS9's, what are you using for sway bars, the stock bars or something else? I am thinking of upgrading to PSS9's and want to know if I also needs new bars.

Dont NEED the bars, but most people with PSS9's either go with GT3 bars for the C2 or H&R bars for the C4/C4S/TT....If you have a C2 and go with the GT3 bars, you need new drop links...TRG drop links are probably the best....The H&R bars are bolt ons and bigger than the GT3 bars, so for the AWD cars they seem to work better.

I agree with newport996. Its not necessary to do the bars but if you wan't to tune in the suspension a bit more and have a C4/C4S/TT the H&R's are definitley the way to go. We have done many setups with the PSS9's and H&R sway bars and with a good aligment, you will be set to go.

PSS9s and H&R sway bars the only way to go for a C4, great around town and better on the track!

When I did my JIC's the rear GT3 sway bar made a HUGE difference!

That will work as well....but alot of people go with GT3 bars on the C2 with TRG drop links. That combo does not work as well on the C4/C4S/TT.

but going with the H&R setup is cheaper right? The TRG links are soo expensive! why not just go w/ H&R? Esp if they are thicker, is it cuz they are not OEM?

newport996 Apr 28, 2007 05:42 PM

Good question....I asked a few forums why go through all the hassle of special drop links just to use the GT3 bars and becaus eI had the C4 I was told NOT to go that route....I think people are enamored with anything thats "GT3". They think its an upgrade. While a stiffer bar is really all you need with enough adjustability to dial the car in....people go through the hassle because its OEM and GT3. So yes I think an H&R bar is just as good a solution on a C2.
