I'm not sure, but I've always heard that 295 is a bit wide for a 10" wheel. I thought you were supposed to step up to an 11" wheel before going with a 295.

Either way, I'd recommend taking a look at the reviews of the Michelin PS2's before going with the S03's. I used to have a set of S03's (18" wheels) on my previous Audi S4 as summer tires. I found them to have a good deal of road noise and weren't altogether that great of a tire in the handling department (personal opinion). I have been much happier with the PS on the 911, and I have read a bunch of fantastic reviews about the new PS2's.

Sorry that I can't answer the rest of your questions because I'm on the "right" coast.

Karim,
I have pilots on my 02 carrera, 235 front, 295 rears,
they fit great on the 10 " wheel, the ride is good and they handle well. a bit pricey but I think worth it.

Also I don't believe they make a 295 wide S03 tire? At least tirerack doesn't sell it or list it.

I'd also highly recommend you look at S02a's. I replaced my PS-ribs with some S02a's, and so far they are great. Slightly softer turn-in balanced by better ride and lower noise (no, the PS-ribs weren't worn out -- I had a "belt problem"). Plus, it's nice to know they are Porsche approved.

Definately stay away from the P-Zero's. If you want a 295/30/18 tire why not go with the exact tire that Porsche uses on the GT3's? That would be the Michelin Pilot Sport 2.

I don't know much about the S02a's. I've just never seen a S02 in a 295 wide tire. I always did hear a lot better things about the S02's as compared to the S03's though.

How about the Cup tires I hear so much about?

I have the Michelin sport rib, which came on my new C4S and I love them, quiet, handle great, great feed back etc, not clear if they are available yet other than on a new p-car.

I have also used the pilot sport on anothe C-2 and was also happy with them, but like the new tire better
