I have a time slip for a sub-12sec run on a stock 997tt .. The tip 997tt will post lower numbers due to the ability to pre-boost.

Way to dig up a thread. Allow me to predict your next question: "What is the tips best 1/4 mile time with stock 997 tt? My friend ran 11.535 on stock 997tt tip, is the tip faster?"

its because you ask the same questions everywhere...

tips are faster in the 1/4th mile because they're easier to launch, in a roll...a 6 speed will win if you go far enough in speed assuming the guy can shift so he doesn't loose boost.

Moron If the 1/4 is all you're interested in, get a Top Fueler and go racing with Big daddy. Why can't ya just enjoy the awesome driving qualities of the 977? The Porsche has always had magical qualities the transcends pure power and speed and you need to learn what those things are before you open your mouth any further.

I would imagine that the automatic is faster but the 121mph speed seems a bit high for a stock 997 Turbo. My 690 race manual 997 turbo ran 125mph and I believe it could run close to 130mph but not much better than that. Maybe the track I am running in San Antonio Texas is slower but I would like some other people to post there times.
