Miltek Exhuast's...

Hey guys I found myself a slightly used Miltek Exhuast(Turbo-Back) with about 800 miles on it. And yes of course I'll be getting headers to pair up with the Turbo-Back.

Any guys here with Miltek's? How do you like it? Pics???

Thanks

Congradulation's, I've read in another thread that the Milltek are the most powerful exhausts with catalytics and not including headers for the 997 Turbo.

I've heard they sound ok but fitment ain't the greatest. Maybe sharky can comment, I know he sells several different brands. No experience with them.

lright guys I have the #'s

$1,300 for Milltek Headers(Brand New)
$2,000 for Milltek Exhuast(800 miles on it)
$3,500 for GIAC Tune(Chip)

So.....Does this look like a good deal?

Let me know guys before I make a move. Thanks:D

They sound good and at least on the 997TT's are the quietest exhaust I know of in terms of resonance. Some say too quiet in fact... they make power, have really large cats (good). As for the bad, the fitment/installation is a ROYAL pain in the ass! I can say this since I'm English, our ideas might be great but our manufacturing industry sure does suck!

The sound will deff be an issue. I need to reall hear it before I buy it.

From that stand-point it's awesome. No other system is as quiet inside the cabin from what I can tell. But if you want a loud exhaust this isn't it...

The fitment issues would be my concern.

Yea I heard it a RPITA.....Thats why the prevous owner of the "Milltek" is selling it. Becuase the right tips were 1'' higher than the left. But can't you slighty bend or adjust it to make it fit better?

TT Surgeon Dec 19, 2007 08:29 AM

But at nearly 4k should you have to bend pipes to make it fit?

Ive had a Miltek exhaust for 6 months plus and like it a lot. The only very minor complaint is you can see the two cans under the rear bumper but some may like this look.
Fitment was no problem at all for my shop. Had it done in no time. Beautiful build quality when it was out of the box.
Resonance is minimal and pipe is certainly loud enough.
Much louder and it would be wareing. Its a 200 cell UK pipe which may be different from what you are talking about.

Good luck with it:D
