I have yet to have any hit the ground unsold. most have been orders, and a few pre sold before they got here. I do have a feb car that is changeable that is not spoken for, but it's not likely to last long, we have several clients deciding on spec's right now for orders. after that I only have 2 left for MY08. many dealers in larger metro areas have sold thru their entire allocation, so it's hit and miss trying to get a slot. just depends on where you are. anyone else care to chime in in other parts of the country?

Im in a huge market (Chicago), but i wonder if this version of the cab will get torched as much as the 996TT cab did?

My local dealer had only eight slots for the year all of which were pre-sold. They have a wait list. My build is 2/11/08 with a late March/early April delivery! I can't wait.

Greta, I could be mistaken but I think the 8 slots were for coupes and something like 11 for cabs. That's what Alex told me.

Local dealer had a cab in the showroom for a couple weeks and then sold it out of state. So either a little soft of tough weather time for cabs in most parts of the country.

I have one that is just about to dock. Anyone interested in taking it off my hands? No upcharge, just do not have time, energy to sell off another car so that this one will fit in garage. If interested, PM me.

I have heard the market is tight also, on cabs and coupes. I would ask you all, how did you get a firm build day and date. Should I have one by now? The dealer tells me that the order is in and it should arrive in May but that is as specific as I can get. Payed the 5000.00 ect... and sighned the paper that says if they deliver this specific car and I dont take it the 5000.00 is then non-refundable. What do you think? Ordered at Stevenson in Denver.

In NYC its the opposite, more cabs than coupes. They didnt increase the overall allocation at my dealership, they just split the slots from last year in cabs and coupes (3:1) so its harder to come by a coupe.

If anyone thinks that these cars wont lose 30K in the first year of putting 5K miles on you are smokin dope. Porsche makes money by selling lots of cars, whatever the market will bear and then some.

Lou, I know you like to move in and out of cars quickly, so there may be a period in spring/early summer that you might not take the full hit, but waiting till sep/oct will be painful.

I've been looking at 997 TT cabs in the Bay Area and LA. They are selling pretty quickly, but there are a few available at most dealerships -- seems like you can get them at sticker. Also, curiously, I have been offered January build spots in both LA and San Francisco. Seems like the market is gradually softening. Trade-in's on '07 997 TT hardtops are dying. Dealerships are offering only $100- 105k for my with 3,500 miles on it. Ugh.

.

for what it's worth, I bought my 997 Coupe at 116, orig list at 137, 1600 miles, perfect car, at a dealer. (a couple of weeks ago)

I realize you're looking for cab prices, but this may help.

They were asking 126, but we know what that means, but, I'm really quite pleased with not only the car, which is really quite outsanding, but buying it from a dealer, after all my research, seems like an ok price.

I had been looking for quite some time. You hear about all the GREAT deals, but some how, these great deals seem hard to come by.

But, anyway, if you get the car you want, what's a few k.
