Heavily Modded '06 ZO6 Cammed with Drag Radials VS. Modded Protomotive 997 Turbo
Yes. It made 700 awhp fluctuating between 1.25 to 1.30 as RPMs rose. Never went above 1.30. (19 psi). This number was on a dynopak which sometimes reads numbers higher than a dynojet - but some argue different.
Anyhow to answer your other question about comparing my M6 against my 997TT in a acceleration run:
My M6 had a very similar setup to your brother's car.
Heres the difference:
[Video] My Modded M6 against stock C6 ZO6: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_QpKNozKN0
This race started at 45 mph. You can hear the voice of the guy who is holding the video camera call out "160!" mph once the ZO6 finishes 4th.
The M6 at this point is 3 cars ahead maybe traveling at 165. So basically 45-160ish took 20 seconds. Look at the time clock on youtube as the video plays.
[Video] Cammed ZO6 vs. My Modded 997TT:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKxqevyqJE4
This race also started at 45 mph. We can guage when the Vette lets off the gas at the end of 4th his car is traveling 160 mph. My car at this time may be at 165. The timer clock on you tube shows 45-160ish in 12 seconds.
With this said, my Modded M6 against my Modded 997TT wouldnt be much of a race at any speed.
The best way to guage how my M6 would do against my Porsche "visually" would be to run a bone stock ZO6 since the M6 accelerates almost in line with Z till 160.
I should have this video done within a few weeks and posted just as a bench mark for comparison purposes.

Keitha,
why don't you record the dash for us as ur shifting thru the gears... I would like to hear it and actually look at your boost gauge- if u have one... something just doesn't add up...
What does Todd let you the problem is? He is the tuner... I doubt any of us would know where to start by giving you honest opinions.... we do not have a a set up like yours....
I have a similar set up on the 996TT and never had a problem like that...

Nice runs Keith, when your car was on my lift and I saw the t3 housing's I was afraid that your car would have lag problems, not sure why he didn’t go with t25's with .64's I think that would have helped out your power band, I am going down to Miami in a couple of weeks to run some Mia guys. What DV's are in your car? I have Diaphragm-Based Valve’s that are much faster then piston type's. If you think that’s your problem let me know.

Interesting run --I have some questions :
1) What was the climate ? I see you are from nearby and this weekend was very hot and particularly humid .I find that the Turbos peform best on a crisp cool days with low humidity.
2) The Nitrous Vette --IMO that's cheating . Did you run the vette without it?

If split second winning is all that matters --the Vette won that moment in time .
At least I'll point to the topic and won't deflect on (paraphrasing) "humor".
If I lived closer I would come by too. It would be a good run on the highway.
One more thing, you really need some grad radials for some traction... I don't think Keith had any.... the vette did...

I think it would be a lot closer had the Turbo been shifter and or problem fixed...

I highly doubt the porsche spun at all from that mph roll. my car hooks dead in 2nd on 800whp..
street tires simply do not do the job.... and when one is up against higher HP cars with drag radials... no matter what anyone says.. you better be on DRs too...
I use my Vbox to show that spinning is present... the the Gs will go up and down... just like when one's clutch is not holding.. same thing... the Gs will go up and down...
He probably should take the car to someone that understands his set up... and have it check out.... hes like a half a second between shifts.... something doesnt add up.... i hope its not the ECu freaking out...
here is a similar setup except on a 996TT...

Im not sure but if he is rwd ( something Proto does to most cars) then it would make a difference... just like the vettes are on drag radials.. obviously there is a reason for that....

Maybe someone that runs high HP cars should get in it and just from experience feel the car and see what is going on.... If its not the hardware then its the ecu....
I wonder if its doing it as well between shifts with just running low boost?

I didnt know... in that case he needs to get the problem checked out... I doubt its something with DVs.... Im guessing the ECU if anything....

another pair of professional eyes may sometimes do wonders instead of speculating on a forum for 2 months with guys who don't even know the set up...
I would run the car on WG spring alone... see what it does... then increase the boost slowly and see if it comes back at a certain point or if its there from the start. Gt30rs are not laggy on a 3.6 L motor... like some suggested... something does not make sense... maybe a massive boost leak...
