Clutch is slipping!

It seems that my tt is producing more power than what my stock clutch can handle. It is slipping in 5th gear and above. I have started looking at some aftermarket clutch kit options and I think I have narrowed it down to the EVOMS stage 2 kit.

Is anyone running this setup? Your opinions?

Anyone running a different setup they can recommend?

Thoughts on a light weight flywheel? How bad is the chatter with this setup?

If some of you experts can chime in on this it would be great. Thanks.

How bad is the slipping? How many miles you got on your car?

Tell you what..I am running a EVT700 setup in my car now with standard clutch..
Its ok,just ok for now,car only done 2500miles from new.I didnt feel any slip. But looking for change the SACHs stage 3 clutch and the lightweight flywheel kit. Those definitly make turbo spolls faster...

yes you need to go to the stage 2 Sachs clutch. The only difference between that and stock is the pressure plate clamping force. The clutch disc is actually the same. I got mine from Mike at AWE for a good price. I would avoid the ltw flywheel. The noise is unbecoming of this caliber of car.

Eclou,

Did you re-use the stock dual mass flywheel or did you use an aftermarket unit?

Lintc0532,

I have 7k on my car. It will not pull at WOT with overboost in 5th and 6th gear.

I got both already on ebay...really I never knew the clutch disc is the same. I might as well throw in the flywheel for fun and see what happens.

Gene is using the stock flywheel in his car. He had our 600 kit and was slipping the clutch in the race gas program. He then installed our Sachs Stg2 kit and now uses it with the 750R kit without problem. He also spends a ton of time at the track.

See here for more detail. In stock:
