My Road to 800HP with GT3076 Turbos - Story Starts
Thanks man
yeah today we are pulling off the bumper and recircing the BOV so we dont have stalling issues. Porsche MAF got to be recirced!
And the results will come... unlike what I have read elsewhere, we dont just "slap on parts".

Alright we are back up and running. We added a recirc tube so that the BOV would dump back into the intake and vent atmosphere (we call it 50/50). Putting a new battery in it and going to put some 91 miles on it around town. Should have some video and updates soon
Cp - welcome to 6speed. We do not have intentions on doing a Motec to a street car. Like other cars we have done where we use AEM stand alone system, I know the potential you can get. So I agree that if this was a track or race only, this would be a good idea. But the effectiveness of Softronic and our turbo kit has shown this car is a MONSTER!.
I have been driving the car this week on 91 octane. Just making sure everything is cool. Very busy with Gumball cars right now as there is 2 weeks till the rally. So next week we will put more 109 in it and hit the 60-130 times

Thanks for the welcome. I have been browsing this site for years, though. I understand your loyalty to Softronic. You are in a business. Many people use Motec ECUs for daily driving/track driving. No big deal. My question was only to find out if you had previously considered this. I know that I would welcome a custom tune solution with a powerful and reliable engine management (the DBW trend does make it difficult, I know!!!). Blind ECU flashes are easy and effective, but not my style at all. The project cars that shine the most are custom tuned (Protomotive comes to mind). Good luck with your build. I look forward to it's conclusion.
Protomotive comes to mind? Protomotive is an ECU flash and these 2 companies work together. So I guess my car is Prototronic tuned LOL. Would I ever consider a stand alone on my 997 Turbo, no, have I used one before personally, yeah on my 240sx drift car.
I don't want to go off topic in your thread. You answered my question, already.

Thanks
no problem...
just put 300 miles on the car this weekend with 91 octane almost burnt off. 109 is going in the car probably tomorrow and then finally some times
While driving around this weekend with the wife, I punched it in 2nd gear, and I quote... "do you want me to throw up in your car?" LOL
Also starting another turbo project so check out the new thread shortly.

Can't wait on some times...
Just got my YPipe back from powdercoat and installed with our Agency Power boost hoses. Got the blow off valves running 50/50 recircing back into the intake and will now add the carbon intake box back on!
Hey Dan, I went through every post in this thread, but haven't seen a full video yet--I didn't miss it, right?
Looks great! But, you don't go wrong with ANY slate 997TT.
At least my claim-to-fame is that I have the take-off wheels from this beast on my car...during the winter.
