Terrible Accident Police Looking For Help

Two people were killed the other night here in Ft Lauderdale. Unfortunately it looks like street racing which is even more horrible. News pictures show it was a 997TT. If anyone can help the police, the link and info is below:

thought the same,too :D
first I thought it was the normal pronounciation of Porsche by north Americans...good to see, that I`m wrong.

the accident is indeed terrible...
street racing sucks, but I guess everyone of us has speeded at least once in their lifetime, which may be enough to hit a pothole or something and cause an accident.

RIP

Can't imagine the real owner would abandon his car, although stranger things have happened.

Real owner under the influence very well could have.

Any news on this?

According to the news, the car was ID'ed as a 997 GT2, and the owner has been found but not charged yet.

pinoyamg 02-18-2009 06:15 AM

Unless the car was stolen, its registered to its owner.... easy find.

LUISGT3 02-18-2009 06:47 AM

That's definately not a 997 GT2. RIP to the victims.

Not to sound like some purist or old fart, but that is why I don't advocate all of the street racing talk. Most of drive sports cars that are good in the twisties. Who gives a $hit how fast it is from light to light. Take it to the track!

Sorry. Had to get it off my chest. I can only imagine that these two Brits had a couple of wives and even more kids at home. Pisses me off.

By the way, I'm 42 for those of you wondering.

one of the victims was also a Porsche enthusiast and posted on Pistonheads.com
