That is a good question-the price is very good, but did you go see the car, and did you have it inspected by a dealer's mechanic?

 

No i didn't go see the car myself i had a 3rd party independent 150 point inspection with lots of close up photos which all came back clear ,only thing that showed up was a recall #w902 is that something i should be worried about,it's a one owner car still under warranty ,i know some will say i am crazy but i have bought several cars this way.And yes it's in transport

That's what you need to do. Read what others wrote . There's many posts on the 996 Turbo forum but elsewhere too. Not many on the 997 Turbo forum so maybe the other posters can advise best.

 

I personally would never ever buy an expensive car like that without seeing it and looking into the eyes of the porsche mechanic from an independent porsche dealer who did that inspection for me-that is just my style. Hey-we don't have enough bernie madoff's around? That price sounds a bit too good for a low mileage car, even taking into account the market. I hope that all works out well and the seller didn't use your trust in him to screw you-good luck.

 

You said it is a low option car. It does have sport chrono, right?

Yes it has sport chrono,alcantara roof liner ,adaptive sport seats,thicker steering wheel,aluminum trim & many other basics all turbos seem to have,inspection included test drive & fluid analysis what ever thats worth,& lots of detail on interior & exterior.From what they told me dealer took over inventory of a closing dealer had to drop prices on everything to make room for new cars.Anyway thanks for everyones comments & i'll let you know when she gets here.
