60-130mph for stock Z06 is posted 7.86s in this forum, this video makes me wonder that info..

Chris Harris did a similar test with both cars a while back, but from a standing start. The outcome was the same. You should be able to find that video on you tube too.

Great run! I'd like to see how the GT2 would do against the ZR1.

 

Apparently from this video, it seems like the GT2 is faster than a ZR1, too, given that a camm'd/bolt on Z06 is faster than a stock ZR1.

I think something is not right here.

 

I was behind a Z06 on the highway when he decided to punch it at about 100mph. I didn't bother to downshift from 6th and still started to reel him in almost immediately and walked by at around 130 with perhaps four or five car lengths by 150.

Seems likely that I benefited greatly from reduced drag, or perhaps the Z06 just wimped out, but it still seemed like a pretty lame race to me.

 

i was following two cars behind when that happened, soon to be posted in youtube that same GT2 with a Gallardo LP560.

I drive by Z06's..GT3's, RS, no contest... stock GT2 no chance that's going to happen with a ZR1!

It's not just peak power but power under the curve that makes the GT2 and the ZR1 that fast!
