In CA it is illegal not to return your deposit. I know this because my Porsche dealer told me so when I ordered my turbo. You can cancel for any reason and as long as you don't take delivery, they are legally bound to return your deposit. Good luck.

insp185 is infamous around these parts
I ordered a 09 Turbo last year for a February delivery. In December I cancelled the order as I found a smoking deal on a 08 997TT Cab. The dealer returned my $3000 deposit within two weeks of the cancellation. As stated above, in California the dealer must return the deposit if you do not take delivery.

I think it would be because a lot could happen between the time of order and delivery like a major lifestyle change due to job loss, injury, etc... I would think PCNA should be able to help resolve this.

Have an attorney draft a letter and incude a deadline for them to pay . This way your request is documented in writing rather than verbal .
If they don't comply .. that letter plus your contract receipt ought to be enough to file a claim.

It will take months . You will get it back .
Couldn't agree more.
