Update. We had to do some machine work to the pistons today. We found a possible clearance issue that we did not account for. We also finished our solid lifter conversion which will be needed when we rev the engine to 10K I will post more photos of the new lifters and heads on Monday.

Here is the mock up head and cam tower that we use to measure valve lift. Designing new valvetrain components is a very precise task and we have some new surprises developing. More on that on Monday.

Not much going on with the engine. We have been jammin on our customer cars in preperation for the Texas mile. John spent some time yesterday getting the 997TT cleaned. This is not a fun task however it is something that we do to all big builds. The cars seem to like the attention to detail and a clean engine compartment / underbody

This is an awe-inspiring build. Swain's coatings? Look like 'em, at least... and they're very well regarded, so it'd make sense.

I don’t know how our EVOMS coils exactly compare to the BBI units. They claim a 400% increase in spark energy over the stock coils. I am not sure how they came up with this data and when I posted a question about this on their thread, there was no response.

The spark energy output depends on the supply current and this may change depending on the alternator output. On average, the EVOMS developed coils will supply a 36-44% increase in spark energy and have an increased high voltage rise time over the OEM coils. They can also withstand a higher vibration environment and operate in extreme conditions. I will provide more information on our coil upgrade once we make a formal product release. <O</O

 

I appreciate your response. Concerning my build, the limiting factor is not my boost but the amount of spark that I am can produce.
