Current thoughts on front lip lift kits?

I plan (for now) to keep the stock suspension on the '09 Turbo Cab...

So what are my options for the least expensive lift kit to keep the damn lip ON the car? Just something easy to install, that will give me the momentary lift to get out, then bring back to ride height.

Yeah, driveway has killed it. Scrapes every damn time I leave, but not on entry, only exit. And the ghetto slide (angled in or out) does not help at all.

Thought about the pads from Griot's to lay in the curb, but that's kind of cheesy.

Cargraphic?
TechArt?
Other?

How much cheddar? And the key is I want to leave the stock suspension as is for now.

I have the Cargraphic version with Bilstein B16's (lowered about 16mm). The lift is an absolute must for one of my frequent driveways. The lift is a lot of money and I sometimes wonder if I should have just changed my lips every month - the break-even is about 3 years with at about 8 lips/year if I remember correctly.

The Cargraphic lift is a little slow raising the front so it takes a bit of planning. In the end, I think I would do the lift again.

I would talk to SharkWerks. They did a TechArt lift and my Cargraphic lift in the same week (plus more since then), so they can compare both.

Thanks. I understand the Cargraphic kit will work with stock suspension. The T/A kit requires T/A coilovers.

I'd love to hear from some folks about their impressions of the T/A coilovers, and what that adds/detracts from ride quality, etc.

I can get a 1" drop or so from the T/A kit, then a 60mm rise on the lift, so it might give me a far better 'look' and function at the same time, but for a ton of coin.

Eric,

KW, Techart and Cargraphic all have a lift kit available at various price points.
The Cargraphic kit will work on O.E. Factory coilovers, Bilstein PSS9/10, Motons, and a few other brands but will not work without a coilover system. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions. 714.545.1046

Eric,

I assume you saw this thread https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...spensions.html ? There is some discussion regarding speed of lift and pneumatic (Cargraphic) versus hydraulic (Techart).

Personally I have not read up on this mod and have no idea how one compares to the other, but one point of academic interest (and perhaps not significant at all ) is that any part of the system below the spring (Techart??) counts as unsprung weight, and any part above the spring (Cargraphic??) counts as sprung weight.
Above the spring then would be better; of course if the component weighs very little (does it?) , then it doesn't matter.
