Beyond underscoring that I can't read German, I am not sure what the take-home message is supposed to be. :p The 997.2TT is faster and the reviewers chose the GT-R is about all I could figure out.

My friend has a GT-R and it is a great car but both he and I would rather own something different.

Its faster in a straight line...but the GTR is about so much more than pedal to the metal 1/4 times.

According to this 1 German publication, its just a better car. Point blank. You shouldnt be suprised, because the 997.1 is also faster than the GTR.

Better handling:

GTR vs 997.2 Turbo
Track - 1:36.5 vs 1:36.9
18m Slalom - 69.8kph vs 68.8kph
Braking for 100kph (cold) - 34.2m vs 34.9m
Braking from 100kph (warm) - 32.9m vs 33.4m

automobile mag this month summed up the GTR perfectly. "The GT-R's computers remove any need for driver talent and suck out the fun in the process." A Porsche is so much more rewarding. I don't like the GTR at all, inside or out. The performance numbers are impressive but the car is so detached from the experience.

Well, let's see now. AutoExpress magazine recently rated the 987.2 Cayman S with PDK above the Nissan GTR. I guess that makes the new Cayman S a better car than the GTR and the 997.2 TT. Boy, just who do you believe these days.

Kofferraumvolumen:

GT-R: 19 points
997TT: 0 Points

for those who don`t know: Kofferaumvolumen means trunk space

so the 997TT mainly lost because of the price and the Kofferraumvolumen, hilarious hilarious

They need to include a comparison where they run each car hard for a couple of hours around some track. That would tell you a lot, such as, who might have overheating problems.

The 997 should not have gotten 0 points for trunk space. Maybe they didnt know the trunk was in the front!!

such reviews make me laugh most of the time cause they are pretty useless. i mean they gave the GT-R 19 points more for the trunk, but they are giving the new 997TT only 2 more points for the much better acceleration, lol.
Sorry but 3.2 to 3.8 and 10.4 to 12.4 are almost 2 worlds.
and what about emotions, image etc. ?

if u got the money: Turbo
if u don`t: GT-R

simple as that imho.
the turbo is quality and worth the money, no doubt about that.

Whether I had the money or not, the GTR would not be on my shopping list.

Ha! This is a stupid thread. I believe the original poster is trying to stir some stuff up and he failed.

Equip the Turbo with the optional Cup tires, and the handling edge likely goes to the P-Car.
