New Member Intro.

Hello, My name is Barrett and I am the proud new owner of a 2007 Turbo. I was wondering if anybody has posted pics of an interior with the carbon fiber stearing wheel, Shifter, E-brake, etc... I would like to see how it looks before I consider purchasing it. Also, does anybody know if the CF stearing wheel is thicker in diameter than the stock wheel. TIA.

Hello Barrett, I am also new to this forum and owner of a 07tt. My car has the carbon parts you are asking about (do not know how to post pictures). I think it looks great ( my opinion ). The stearing wheel is thinner than the leather wheel but feels great! I went to a track day today and what a car. good luck with your new ride. Nick

Welcome, Barrett.

See my For Sale thread with pics. Have all the CF goods.

If you're interested in the wheel, I'll give you a killer deal
As to whether it is thicker than the regular wheel, I cannot say for sure as I've never held a regular one, but I don't think it's any larger in diameter. Someone else would need to verify this.

Jason (Atomic80) had posted a bunch of photos on options for the 997TT. This may help:

Welcome from a fellow Marylander. Are you planning on joining the local PCA and tracking your car at Summit Point? If yes, see you out there.

Larry,
Thanks and yes I plan on joining the PCA and tracking at Summit. I am a long time veteran at Summit. I owned an E30M3 for 22 years and I currently have an E60 M5. Once I "learn" this fire breathing beast" a little better, I will be on my way to the track. See you then.

global response to my question/intro

I apologize for my lack of experience in using this forum. In response to the many friendly responses to my question as well as the warm welcome, Thank you all. In response to a few of the qustions received, I have a six speed. I look forward to getting back to the track down in Virginia. It's been a couple of years since I tracked my M3 their. My garage includes: an 2006 M5, 1988 E30M3 (sold to make room for turbo), Range Rover Sport Supercharged, Escalade ESV (kid mover) and Jeep Grand Cherokee (dog vehicle). Thanks again to all, my experience to the Porsche community so far has been truly amazing!

Here is the 997 interior pics thread that may help you decide...I think there a few carbon interiors posted in there.
