Hats off to Evoms for a fantastic build in such a short time. Most projects of this magnitude take years!

What are the details on how the transmission would need to be built and how much torque can it handle?
We will see how the tip transmission holds up. The tests we just conducted were with a 6-speed transmission. The engine was installed into our 997TT for testing only and the engine is already out of the car and it is being prepared for shipping to Bahrain. The car that this engine is being installed into is a tip car. We have increased the strength of the TQ converter and will see how it holds up. We have can improve the strength of the tip transmission further with different clutches, pumps, valves, etc but our customer is going to hold off on further modifications to the transmission until we see how this first stage transmission holds up. He is thinking about converting his car to a manual and until he makes the final decision, he didnt want to upgrade this transmission any further. We will wait and see.

It depends on the rev limit. We set the limit on this engine at 7800 RPMS but I was still having to shift into 5th gear well before the 1/4 mile mark. I will have to check the gear charts for this transmission / Rev limit and see what the speed is in each gear.

Thanks Jag. This is a full weight AWD car. These are the same turbos / turbo system that we built for your car. There is virtually no lag. This setup makes 25 PSI of boost by 4500 RPMS. Also, the 60' times with this GT35 setup were just as quick as the times I ran with the VTG turbos.

There was talk on our other thread that questioned our wastegate setup. Due to the length of the wastegate plumbing, there was speculation that it was going to create a bunch of lag. We have built this same system time and time again and until we figure out a more efficent way, I think we will keep it because it seems to work just perfect!

The video from inside of the car is priceless. No lag and very little wheel spin in first. Did you have the DR's on the car?

Yes, we had 18" BFG drag radials on it. I was impressed with the AWD system. I am use to all of the GT2's and the 2WD conversion cars that we test that have a hard time with traction.

I can't even remember how it feels in AWD anymore All I know in RWD with high HP cars, it's not easy to handle at high speeds. Great work again Todd.

How can it spin that fast and not break and have problems. What kind of longevity can one expect going that high in rev's?

Nice work EVOMS!
7800 RPMS is on the higher end that we like to run these engines with the stock crank. This car / engine will be a semi DD and will be enjoyed on the open roads in Bahrain. The final tune has a 7500 Rev limit which is very safe for this well flowing engine.

Would it be an easy job converting a tip car to 6spd? Any potential problems?
