Review of Cargraphic Loud exhaust & an audiophile's guide :-) to exhaust auditioning.
More, this is a 996, on a 997 these are already bigger, no need to change.
Essentially what europipe did was to take all the necessary mods to the stock exhaust and reproduce it with their own case. That is smart, all the benefits of the stock design, none of the restrictions.
What these mods accomplish is a 50% improvement in flow, less restrictive 200 or 100 cell cats, probably the same 20hp any system makes, with no drone, 100% German.
It's not cheap, but neither is a 911.

Yes, but the tubi is a close second IMHO.
Like I've always said, there are lots of good systems out there, take your pick.
What's a screaming deal is the 100 cell version of the fvd, only 3500, if I did it again, it would be that one since I already have a flash.
The best part is that with this system you're totally under the radar, noise wise, for me that's key.

Cannga,
I do think the GMG is good but I still think a High performance sport car with a $4000 aftermarket exhaust should sound a lot better then that... The GT3 with stock exhaust sound way better than the 997TT with any aftermarket exhaust... (and yes I'm deaf 60% in the right ear and 30% in the left ear... I can't help it, I was a rifleman in the Marines for 4 years)

I'm about to change the exhaust in my Gallardo, I really hope is not the same deal!!! Lol
Loc is very popular with lambos, that's true. But no idea which is better.
But isn't lambo of Orange County (loc) out of biz. I admit I don't follow lambo stuff that closely.

Justin sold his 997TT and bought a Gallardo 2 weeks before I did it, his car came with LOC exhaust and he Love it...
Anyway.... I wish ya'll had Gallardo... (The Lamborghini Forum is not too much fun)

Leo, Lambo has one of the most beautiful exhaust notes to my ears. The howl reduces my knees to soft noodle.
What are you looking to improve in changing your Lambo exhaust? What is it about stock that you don't like?
Loudness? The character of the sound itself?

I went to a Lamborghini meeting in Fort Lauderdale and when you change the Exhaust this car sounds almost like a F1!
Yes, get in touch w Rhonda . It's louder than stock, slightly less than tubi and regular fvd.
Here's some some images of a 996tt exhaust (pete95zhn), the 997 is very similar but different.
What ruf does is remove the two stock cats and replace with a 100cell hjs hd cat and dog leg a second outlet off the j pipe. They also dilate the secondary resonator pipes on a 996, these are already bigger on a 997 p, therefor not required. The key is removing the two restrictive factory cats and the clamshell, which is exactly what fvd does, and replace with the hjs hd 100 or 200 cell cat. Fuchs in Munich is the company that does it for Ruf, they do a slightly different version for fvd in conjunction with mm, also in Munich. Contrary to previous information, either fvd or ruf both use your used core. Ask anybody who's actually done a ruf conversion, ie my brother for one.
I have other vids I'll upload tomorrow.

I've never followed this closely but I thought Ruf version was done by one guy at Ruf, didn't know Fuchs does the conversion for Ruf?
How is FVD "slightly different" from Ruf and how close does yours sound to your brother's Ruf version?
Fuchs in Munich has basically one guy doing it, not the same Fuchs as the wheels to my knowledge.
Ruf goes on to ad a dogleg second exhaust tip coming off the j pipe to the tip, that's the only difference on the 997 to my knowledge. I think they did the Fvd different purely for marketing purposes so that when you lay out the extra scratch for ruf, it is different, again, my guess.
Perhaps Rhonda can chime in.
Mine sounds the same as my brothers, but at wot his is probably louder do to 100cell cats.

For anyone who would like to have a little fun: If you are going to install an after-market exhaust and you have Durametric cable, get some data *BEFORE* the exhaust installation, so you could compare before versus after data.
It would be worthwhile to see in particular any change in engine load (power) and boost after the exhaust installation. You could confirm the advertised horsepower gain of your vendors! Or heaven forbids, power loss.
It would be very nice to see what reduction of back pressure does to the boost pressure as well.
My curve after Cargraphic exhaust with stock ECU is below; unfortunately I didn't measure anything before the install.
