No thank you... As I said I really like the TA exhaust, I just need to drive my car in Manual..... EP is the most popular exhaust and there is a reason why (price, quality & hold on the value) I'm not keeping it because i'm having hard time to sell the TA but if I was gonna change my exhaust again I will definitely keep the EP....

It's time for me to move on for bigger parts (weeks1 CF body kit) & bigger turbos...

I'm trying to get cat bypass for my Techart exhaust...

If I can sell my TA exhaust for a decent price, I will keep my EP1... Lets see if I can sell the TA exhaust before Friday...

Kidding aside, Joe, if your car is convertible (less sound proofing and some people would recommend a more quiet exhaust for convertibles) and you want quieter sound, then EP1 is an excellent choice. For me EP2 would probably be even better though because of its deeper sound. Another choice is Tubi. IMHO: I would take a listen to all 3 if I were to spend so much $$$; ignore the mass's choices, you will never know what you like until you listen for yourself.

If I trade my EP1 for the GMG exhaust, he will be considered a hero in 6speed!! GMG exhaust for Europipe lol something doesn't sound good to me here....

How much can you get for a used GMG? $2000 if you are lucky? In the other hand EP will go for $3800..... If you ever get that deal you should write a broke call "how did I make it happen" I'm sure a lot of people will buy it!

I'm sure GMG is good but EP has more demand.

+1 Last time a GMG came up for sale it sold for $1800. Big differance in exhaust values. Sell the Ep1 for $3800 then make an offer on the GMG!

Don't buy in the hype, there are many good systems out there, no one system is the absolute best.
A cab does limit you somewhat, def err to the quieter exhausts.

Cannga, thanks for the advice on a quieter system. The GMG is ok (for me) top down, but top up is def boomy for me. Thankfully I bought the car for top-down driving mostly. I def need to personally hear some other systems (in a cab) to figure out what I like...

Air joe, ck out miktek, fabspeed quiet, fvd quiet...all good systems.

^^LOL to compare any of those to a Europipe is being plain silly imho. Other than the fact they all fit the car any comparison is like comparing chalk to cheese. Using Chris's comment that there is no best system I would agree that a Hyundai, Kia and Lada Niva are all good cars too.... i'm mean in the context that there could be no "best" car right? LOL. Bottom line is there is a pecking order in everything....and whether some here choose to recognize that fact is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things. The users have established a pecking order and that's not based on any "hype" but actual user experiences. At the end of the day it all comes down to what you consider as being satisfactory for your Porsche car. Choice may be grand, but best not kid yourselves here.;)

A great write up. Thank you for sharing. I actually believe the FVD and Cargraphics sound very close. FVD seems a bit tighter, almost like it's unwinding. I'm leaning toward that one.

You are welcome. Regarding Cargraphic and FVD, sure, exhaust is like chocolate ;-), different sweetness and different strength for different folks. The key is before you buy any exhaust, make sure you taste er... listen to it first.

FVD is a reputable company; but the FVD exhaust in the past had a "farting noise" problem on deceleration (right after you let go of pedal after revving up). Have they solved this problem yet? Did you hear it?

I also note you are still smarting over being unable to provide any facts or examples specific to the 9A1TT engine being referred to in that particular thread. Instead you relied upon internet forum discussion specific to other makes and models of engines, generalising the problem without taking into consideration Porsches own engine design for this particular engine and, their ability in addressing such issue. As i said, just show me one example of it occurring in that engine and that will help suffice. That said operating conditions will always determine the outcome of carbon build up on any given engine (DFI or otherwise) and to suggest that every solitary engine will manifest the problem and to the same degree is flawed thinking at best. You evidently haven't had a great deal of exposure to engines or have had any formal training instead choose to rely upon chat forums and other opinion based mediums as a means to gain traction when put to the test. Sad.

Where an exhaust system is concerned (imho...and based on my own user experiences) that IS the best hard proof you could hope for in this type of product. We all know dyno reports can be manipulated and can also vary depending between dyno. Each dyno has its own individual characteristics. Unless every system was tested on the same dyno on the same day under identical conditions by the same operator there are bound to be variances;). So this is where user experiences can succeed the sheer numbers quoted and there are a hell of a lot of users out there now that have made their evaluations. Many have also used other systems previously. Ask skandalis447 or madsex 343 just to name two members on this board alone. These guys have used a lot of high end systems and now only use the EP. They are very knowledgeable on Porsches, chase numbers and fast times and are convinced the others don't deliver the same result, so these are a good two persons for you to check with on that. But my guess is you won't because you know you will be left red faced (again).

EP makes its own dyno claims as stated ontheir website however incidentally i note when this subject has been broached in past threads Stef the owner has elaborated his own reasons why dynos dont show the full story. If you care to do a search you may find that thread and his comments. From my own experience i would say he is spot on with his evaluation.;)

Bluecrab i wouldn't get yourself in any more of a fizz than what you already have, and I would advise you to take stock of your own consistency in being unable to provide evidence upon reasonable request and, the consistent misuse of my comments out of context along with making false accusations is becoming monotonous.

Again this statement of yours is false and a distortion of the truth as i have never at any stage said there is just only one good exhaust for this car.
Fwiw i personally feel there are actually two exhausts in particular i would personally recommend for this car (EP and Akra). That said whilst others may fit on to the car they are probably not likely to deliver on all fronts in the same way as these two. I refer not only to the all round drivability where they don't drone, but also in the way they produce a crisper throttle and the feeling of noticeable power increases across the entire rev range. Then there is the superior manuacturing quality which is another important aspect for me personally....maybe not so much for you.

If you think these are the upper eschalon of the systems available for this car then that's up to you. But that said hearing the mixed reviews on many systems being talked about on this thread I wouldn't have a lend of myself any of them are of the same manufacturing quality or are able to deliver the same all round standard of performance.

How does one go about hearing multiple systems? I'm sure there's a couple in my area, but prolly not many - surely not 5-10 diff systems. I'm sure there are metro areas that have several examples - but I also see people on here who live in (seemingly) rural areas. Leap of faith?
