Sorry to revive the thread.....
I have a 2009 gt2 which I modified with gt2rs bumper and lights.
I have the correct parts as my car is 2009. I made the swap and coding
problem is that the rear blinkers will only work when engine is off. As soon as I turn the engine on , no more blinkers. All other lights work just fine....

if anyone already had the issue , feel free to advise....

thanks guys

With and without , same results
I tried multiple swaps ( I can find different combinaisons on internet so its hard to know which is the good one , specially for a 2009 , even more for a GT2 )

I found an old 2008 Turbo front module that I will try with the FVD module as its suppose to work on all models except 2009.
Don't know however if having an old module will impact any features of the car ?

Thanks

I would contact suncoast parts if you haven’t. They sell the conversion kits and should be able to assist.

the fvd kits only work for 2007+2008 as the front and rear modules for 2009 are the 997.2 ones.

for certain on the rear module the final setting 'TAILLIGHTS' have been changed from 'incandescent' to 'led'?

its insanely easy imo. new bumper and taillights - minimum modifications required which can be done on the spot by any body shop.

as for the electronics, either FVD rear adapter or an updated rear module and some programming.

What is the final verdict from many who wen the FVD controller route instead of the changing out modules? I'm asking because I did this 2 years ago and at that time everything worked fine. I have to assume I have modules for an early year model 2007 but I need to confirm that. My recent problem is the rear turn signals on both sides have become hit or miss on working. Meaning, I start car in the am and check and all is good. I return from a drive and not blinking when I select right or left. I turn on my headlights and both work just fine. This was all brought to my attention at a recent state inspection on the car. Last year they didn't check the turn signals.

There is a possibility that this problem has existed 2 years and I've just been really fortunate not to get a ticket for not indicating. I only put 3k on the car per year and it's not my daily. I'm speaking with FVD and they are being very helpful giving me info to try such as unplugging my front indicator lights and side markers to see if the problem exists but again, with it being intermittent, I just never know and it's hit or miss whether the problem will surface. I'm considering going the route of Atomic just to be done with it. I have Durametric Pro so I can change from incandescent to LED. I guess the pin swap seems straight forward but don't really know. Then there is trimming or shaving down a tab at the connectors. I have OEM red lights.

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with the fvd controller and if my best bet is go go the route of the new modules?

Thanks,

Tom
