Bigger Throttle Body or Upgraded VTG's

I'm looking for my next upgrade (1 step at a time) and was considering upgrading the VTG's but then thought maybe a bigger 83mm TB would be the better next step.

I'm looking for really strong bottom and mid-range for digging out of corners more than having power on the top end.

And I can guess that doing both is the REAL way to go but 1 step at a time.

Opinions? Thanks.

Oh, car has headers, IPD plenum, Fabspeed intake, 3.5" IC's, Europipe S2 exhaust, Evo flash (525whp), BRV's on the way.

If you go with the larger throttle body, you will also need to upgrade your IPD plenum to the competition one.

Yeah, but I think Turbo Mike would do a partial exchange if you wanted to upgrade.

I vote VTG's:D

I would go for VTG's...

With the bigger TB/Plenum you will loose TQ bottom end (lower RPM).
I would do the upgraded VTG, billet compressor wheel having less mass then cast wheel will spool up faster.

Champion has a great deal on their upgraded VTG Turbos $1995 can't beat that.

VTG's all the way brother.

Hmmm...seems like nobody thinks the larger TB is the way to go first. Thanks 6'ers, I appreciate your opinions.

And nobody does faster VGTs than we do!

Done in a full weight 6-speed street car!

oooooooh, me likey very much. :) 135mph with upgraded vtgs, and not
BIG turbos??????? Now you're talking. I assume this is just upgraded wheels in the stock vtgs, right? Dear diary, my future power path must include the ability to get into 130s in the quarter.
