Air Bag Light On after change the battery.

My 2007 997 Turbo battery just died, I bought DuraLast H8-DLG from Autozone, perfect fit.

But after I changed the battery and started the engine, my front air bag indicator light is on and wont' go away. Can anyone tell me what's going on and how do i fix it?

Cheers

Dave

Drive it for a few miles. It will go away.

Mine did the same thing...I believe the only way to reset the airbag light is to either go to the dealer or use a durametric cable to turn it off...I still haven't gotten mine to go away...I have the exact same problem!

This is an old thread, but just happened to me, so is there a fix other than the dealer or durametric?

I'm not sure...I had the issue though and went the Durametric route. People have said the dealer or probably an indy shop will reset the light for a few bucks. (Way less than buying a Durametric).

I got icarsoft porII from Amazon for 150 bucks, cleared airbag warning sign. You can also see YouTube on icarsoft program.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do without the proper software or diagnostic equipment. I found A local guy that hooked up his laptop and was able to access the SIR system and clear the code

OK, thanks guys. I'll wait for my next service and get them to do it. Not a big deal.

Mine is a 2011 and it went out. I forgot exactly what I did but I believe it was several low speed left and right turns following by a highway speed drive. Perhaps a total of 5 miles and all the warning light reset one by one.
