2011 Turbo spec's for March Build
here is a turbo my dealer let me spec but i do not need to commit to buy. they wanted it in Basalt but other than that didn't really ask for anything special. My Boxster has the Natural grey leather - it really looks different than the normal grey; much darker and with the deviated carpet should really look good. BTW - Sport chrono package is standard in Canada

looks like it's spec'ed nicely, except it's missing the optional steering wheel with paddles, which i think is a must. however, the dealer can change that out for you. if i were ordering i would also get ptv and centerlock wheels. |
Nice - but centerlock wheels are a waste of money. Need special tools and strength to even change the wheel...but they lock nice, just not functional.

No PDK option -> manual -> no paddles.

anyway, if i get it i would get one of the new GTS wheels that have the sport look w/o the paddles. the alcantera would look good with the nat grey |
I would second the PTV and no centerlock wheels. The basalt black is a great color.

Is PCM with Nav, Bluetooth etc standard? If not I would add it. I would also upgrade the sport seats to adaptive. I have non-adaptive sport seats in my car and wish I had the adjustment.
I'd also add a couple more leather bits since your doing some great leather adds: Leather where the homelink buttons are (don't know what they call that piece) and sun visors, leather on that small piece in front of the shifter before the console -- often missed (don't know what they call that either). Leather console lid with crest or turbo logo. Finally two cool touches: leather at the base of the winshiled and leather at the door opening bottoms where the engine and frunk buttons are (again, no clue what they call it). Consider doing deviated stitching. If you do, make sure you include the shift boot and hand brake. Looks wrong if you don't. |
jastx - i like all those leather parts you mention, but i have an extra crested arm rest and i have a set of carbon fibre for the inner door sills and gear lever trim pieces you show
i thought hard about adaprtive seats but i have had the strd sports seats for 5 years and they fit me perfectly - may still put the adaptive in though |
contrasting stitching will make the interior "pop"
crested armrest leather everywhere |
Great build. As far as adding stitching, I think, since you have some carbon to add and are getting some alum look pieces, adding stitching also may be a little too much. And I love stitching. In fact, the two pictures on the left of cocoa w/stitching from jastx post are from my car.

i like the stitching on your overhead console i agree that with the other stuff the deviated stitching may be a bit much; anyway i am pretty sure the stitching in the natural leather jumps out more - my car is away in storage so going off memory |
bumped the silver seat belts from the build - the black is already deviated from the natural grey anyway --- added the adaptive sport seats
actually thinking of switching colour to the new Umber they use on the Cayenne's. would put black leather in it - it is the first Porsche brown in many years that i have liked |
