Finally joined the 997TT party!
Very nice car, the interior looks spotless.
I'm very jel as well. I was doing the paperwork yesterday for a nice low mile Atlas Grey 2007 at Brumos until I had a conversation with my business partner (who up until then was indifferent about the car), who disagreed with the "image" of the car... I'm a car guy, he's not, if that explains anything. Ugh. I'm not giving up yet though!

Congratulations John, great find, she looks beautiful. Wishing you all the best!
Hopefully I'll join you soon and we can head up to skyline for a nice weekend drive.
Also interesting in hearing your analysis on the move from the 996TT.
Again congrats!

Comparison to 996TT
I don't have too much to report yet as I've only had about an hour behind the wheel and much of that was with wife and daughter in the car. Wanted to go driving on Sunday but weather forecast called for rain so held off.
First impression is that the 997TT seems smoother and more refined overall than the 996TT. Power wise, this car (with current mods) seems about as fast as my old stage 4 996TT but doesn't feel (or sound) as violent. Maybe that's due to the Tubi's exhaust having a more melodious note vs. the Cargraphic exhaust that just screams. I've never driven a stock 997TT so don't know what that feels like. Haven't had a chance to really test and feel out the suspension (stock). Flooring it on the freeway, the car feels very poised up to 120mph.
Sitting inside the car, the interior looks a lot more modern and I like the changes from the 996TT. Driving position seems identical.
From the very limited time behind the wheel of this car, I cannot say that there are huge differences between the 996TT and 997TT. For me, having spent 10 years driving 996's, I was simply ready for a change. More impressions to come after more driving time.

Here is one for you.
Peter, really appreciate your making the transaction smooth and easy for me. Rest assured that your baby is in good hands. Will definitely stay n touch.
EDIT: I think doing the roof in matte black as well would look pretty nice. You could do the hood as well but that might be going too far. I'm giving away my ideas, but my 997TT is still hypothetical and the chances of us ever parking next to each other are slim to none.
