Many of the tunes I've seen just turn on the Sport Chrono overboost function so it's overboost all the time so 17 psi all the time. I'm sure there are other tunes that take boost a little higher.

So all the decat+tune are 17psi?? what power can be expected from decat+tune?

gmoney 06-02-2011 10:27 AM

on 91 octane about 70-80 hp with full exhaust + tune.

topspeedua 06-02-2011 10:43 AM

Is it the same with stock exhaust and cats taken off?

I have a mild ecu tune and was hitting 20# every day. Only other mod is Fabsport exhaust. Tuner says 600hp.However, it’s having an issue now where it won’t make over 15#. You can feel the ECU is holding it back. Suspect bad gas...

The dashbord only will show a max of 1.2 bar even if you run with 1.4,
The only way to know the exact value is to check with a piwis tester ( max value showed 1.5 bar) or to connect a pressure sensor directly to the pressure line or a cobb accessport can show it.
