Front Drop Links and Clunking Noises

I noticed an obvious low speed clunking noise a couple of days ago so had the car put up on the lift only to discover the stock right and left front drop links connecting the Bilstein Damptronics to the H&R sways were noticeably bent. Having just returned from a 2,500 mile road trip which included 3 track days and some pretty marginal highway conditions, I'm not sure if this is track related, attributable to whacking a pot hole en route or simply repeated expansion joint hammering. The sways are set medium/medium and the car is (quite) lowered.

I had a set of Tarett front drop links FedEx'd in the hope I won't have to miss this weekend's HPDE and they are being installed as I write this. They are significantly more robust than the stock units. Has anyone else had a similar experience or are there additional things I should be considering in light of these failures? Thanks,

Stock drop links are prone to failure, you did the right thing.

Pretty normal if your car is lower more then 25.3/4 in. measured from the ground to the fender in front.Make sure you install the extended Tarett links that are connected same way as Bikstein drop links.Attached Canaga pic..

Thanks, I received the wrong size yesterday but Tarett is going out of their way to overnight the correct set for delivery tomorrow morning. Hopefully, we'll get them installed and I can still get to the track for the weekend's DE. Thanks for the picture too. It's good to see one actually hooked up. Best,
