Kick in the pants is right. I'm not sure what I just created--lol. Have you seen "standard" A3076s perform like this before?

spooling Oct 6, 2011 03:57 PM

so what other then a stock motor? e85? new turbos?

by-design Oct 6, 2011 04:58 PM

nice numbers enjoy

kouzman Oct 6, 2011 05:29 PM

Wow!

I am sure that the rods will complain at some point. Any plans for an upgrade?

E85 is amazing. Coming from the EVO world I have seen some amazing things happen with this fuel!!!

Enjoy!

Yeah, gotta love that midwest crude. I need to save a few more $, then I'll do motor upgrade and really crank up the boost--lol. Until then, this will hold me over. I don't think I'll be pushing 1.9 bar too often so I'm extremely happy with the result as I can dial in as much or little boost as I want. Stock rods seem to be pretty stout. Sledgehammer ran 1100+ hp and as far as I know, still running strong without problems.

Ho-Lee-Shyte that is incredible. Hats off to Protomotive for pushing the envelope!

skeeter Oct 6, 2011 07:51 PM

They don't call him the 'mad scientist' for nothing.

Good question. I don't know. Maybe others who are more experienced can chime in. Are you getting close to lighting up your flex fuel beast?

Great job Protomotive!!

Love that Corn Fuel- and I love Todd Knighton as well; he is truly an Engineering Wizard!

TTDude- Since you are running alpha3076s you dont have an external waste gates correct? I know proto uses a fenderwell intake kit, but do you have blow off valves on the Y-pipe? I didnt even know that power was possible with the Alpha set up!
