What is a good air intake for a 997.1tt?

After researching after market exhausts for my 997.1tt, it was clear that Europipe was a very very safe bet. I couldn't find a single negative feedback from customers. It doesn't mean it is the best, just that it is a very safe bet. Exhausts tastes are so personal and subjective that the word "best" doesn't make much sense. I just want to underline the term "safe bet" ... Anyway, I bought it, and I couldn't be happier!

Now regarding air intakes, I haven't found yet this very same "safe bet". Could you help me with that? I am asking opinions from non vendors/non sponsors of course. Do you have hard data proving that a particular air intake system makes a significant and "as advertised" difference?

And as we are at it, do you have hard data proving that we should stay away from any particular system? Please don't be shy here, that's what user forums are for ... as long as you have data to back it up.

Thank you in advance.

handdoc will become famous soon enough
I had the AP which worked fine, then switched to the Werks 1 which is a better overall "concept" as far as how it works, and great eye candy.

If you search the forum, most opinions are that the stock box w/ a drop in is just as good.

Stick with stock filter or BMC airfilter.

General consensus seems to be that stock airbox with stock airfilter is best, at least until you've done tune, exhaust, upgraded turbos, intercoolers, upgraded clutch, etc etc. So, there are a LOT of other areas to spend money on first, before turning to airbox "upgrades."
