hey fellas
just did 8 60-130's. 7th out of 8 was a 6.74
did a bunch of 0-60's (trying to learn how to launch). 3.5 sec with a 265lb passenger and bogging.

with the exception of a tune and an exhaust the car has NO power mods.

92 degrees here on long island. sending the files to Mike to verification.
i am a happy camper.
this was done on toyo r888's (i couldnt get the car to spin the wheels for the life of me).

100 octane APR file. 6740 rev limit.

Tim is removing the APR tune and putting his own tune along with launch control in a few weeks. my goal is 0-60 in 2.8 sec and a 5.99 60-130

Nice Steve , your in good hands with Tim .

DNugget991GT3 Jul 20, 2013 09:33 PM

his fat ass is slowing my car down. coulda done a 3.3 lol

DNugget991GT3 Jul 20, 2013 09:44 PM

almost forgot to mention, i have gt2rs intercoolers.
they obviously work well.
the vbox shows 12 0-60 runs. all back to back (maybe 20 seconds of cool down).
r888s did not break traction at all.
i was launching it a week ago on michelin pss's and it launched harder than any car ive ever been in (including tims).

TT Surgeon Jul 20, 2013 10:14 PM

Which company is Tim with?
Sounds good, did you ever dyno it, I'm fixin to dyno mine in a couple of weeks, might get a discount for two cars!
With the heat we've been having, seriously considering the gt2ICs, mine was heat soaking badly the other day.

unvmy996 Jul 20, 2013 11:23 PM

Steve , I can't immagine Tim's car launching hard without frying the tires.

Tt surgeon Tim works for no one he does his own work out of his garage.

+1!

Is the car a tiptronic?

DNugget991GT3 Jul 22, 2013 11:35 AM

nope 6 speed manual. FULL weight, and when i say full, i mean FULL. heavy adaptive seats, detailing supplies in the trunk.
5.9 is my 60-130 goal. 5.9 on a completely stock vtg.

BaldBag Jul 22, 2013 05:22 PM

Very impressive! 6.7 is very good. Ive done 0-60 in 2.8, 2.9 countless times. No passenger though.

I read your mods on the other thread. Did you do the GT2 slave cylinder conversion?

very impressive. What was your technique? i.e. 4th gear all the way, 1 shift, 2 shift? iirc, you have to shift into 5th with APR tune b/c it has stock rev limiter. I'm not sure 5.9 is attainable without some serious weight loss if you are sticking with stock vtgs, but good luck!

DNugget991GT3 Jul 22, 2013 07:56 PM

yup i have the gt2 slave conversion.

DNugget991GT3 Jul 22, 2013 08:00 PM

Bogg, i have weight reduction in the right places for my 60-130's (ceramics and magnesium wheels. rotational mass reduction affects 60-130's significantly.

faiz Jul 22, 2013 08:16 PM

Apr ftw!

Too bad they dumped the platform. Apr tune plus no lag shifting would be NUTZ.

Ahhh!

How many shifts for the 60-130 run? technique tips?
