I've been through the same thing. I walked into the Porsche dealer in Marin looking for a turbo. I came in my DD (2012 Jetta TDI Wagon) in jeans and hoodie. I was ignored and had to approach a salesman on my own. He was very dismissive so I left. I'm a little younger 31 with a baby face but that shouldn't stop someone from trying to help. I'm in sales and give everyone a chance since it could be potential $$.

I'm surprised. While I've never gone to that particular dealer in dirty clothes I don't exactly dress baller. Most of the times I went was in my old *** 328is DD on my way home from work. They have always been friendly with me, chatted for a while, let me sit in the cars. Ferrari of Austin on the other hand barely looked at me, much less acknowledged my presence..

You should do what I did. Go to Porsche's web site, send them an email with a link to this thread. I got a call the next day.
From everything i can see so far, Porsche dealers are about the worse I have dealt with since owning cars 30 years ago.
Maybe we should all go and put a comment on Huntington Porsche's youtube page....

Can I just ask you how you know for sure it was your car in the video? I am very into my car and really feel for you. If you can prove that this is your car, I would think you would be sucessful in winning your case. The damages need to be determined but punitivly I would want a new one simply because it was not their car to beat on and the dealer needs to be responsible for theior empoyees.

I wish you the best of luck and even before you posted this, I disliked the "were better than u" attitude this place exudes.

Going to local news now and lawyer time. Anyone who uses this dealer please don't let anything like this happen to you. Run far away from Porsche of Huntington.

I can 100% prove it is my vehicle. That's not a problem. I didn't put everything here. Thanks for the support. I'm sure I will have some updates soon on this.

What a mess...sorry it happened...but what are you going to sue for - what are your damages? You can't sue just to prove the dealer is stupid, incompetent and unresponsive.

Exactly, the dealer is hoping you wont get a lawyer. He cant defend the joyride or scratches and he is scared. He will pay all the fees and your lawyer should be able to nail him for all the damage and wear done on the car.

Wear and damage long term to the car. All he needs is to show the DME report which Porsche states anything above a 1 can cause potential for engine damage. Then he can get the money for a complete Porsche respray. I would say you cant just paint a panel. New clutch and tires. There is no telling the damage so in that case he would easily win for the potential to replace all parts damaged by the tech

This sucks bro. I will flip out.

One think to do before taking car to the dealer is make a video of y car . It could help.
My M3 spend few nights at the dealer and I found few scratches and it was hard to fight it ....... too late and dealer just waived .....

1) Get attorney
2) Prepare good documentation of what happened
3) Prepare full cost of repairs
4) Sorry man ...people just sometime don't give a crap.

any updates on this thread? I have never had an issue with my dealer in RI so I would be furious to see something like this happen. I did venture to the LI dealers when I was in town for the concours this fall, the best dealer out that way by far is Miller Motorcars in greenwich of course, all very friendly, very professional, the Lamborghini dealer and bentley dealer in LI were, less than admirable lets just say.
