We have had 2 bad snow storms in the last few weeks. I have seen many 911's on the road in these storms and I wonder how capable the 911 TT are in the snow. I saw these in-motion and I have to imagine they had snow tires based on the fact they were operating in 6-10 inches of snow.

I would think the torque of the car and turbos kicking in would generate enough wheel spin to make this a "not to fun" car to drive in he snow.

Stock VTG are not violent in their delivery. If you're having torque/boost/traction issues in the snow it's not the car. It's your right foot and the way you drive.

Naturally a 305 section width all season won't be great on packed snow. That is said for any car. Throw some real tires on there though, and you'd be hard pressed to find a better, more fun winter DD.

I'm out most days in the snow...although last night I left her in. State of Emergency is that way for a reason!

That being said - a nice set of Sottozero - 235/295 combo -along with the weight of the engine over the rear tires work magic (see photo below of the VW from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service - was able to handle the Alps no problem! - that stunt car was undoctored rear wheel drive).

And to be sure...there is no shot in hell I'm moving the gas pedal quick enough in the snow to generate any boost at all. That is left for the guys in the ditches. I've played around in an empty parking lot, but NOT on the roads.

And one last thing - our cars won't drive in 6inches of unplowed/unpacked snow - will just bottom out - I've driven up to 2-3inches - after that we just don't have the clearance.

i intentionally got on the 27 a few weeks ago when we had our first storm just to have some fun (well into the night to avoid traffic as much as possible, i'de of drive through the LIE but they shut it down at midnight).

i am on Nokian winter tires. 235/295 sway bars set to full soft.

BikePilot is on a distinguished road
I've known folks to fit -1 wheels with narrower section snow tires and do quite well in the snow. Haven't tried it myself--not a lot of snow where I live!
