The only item that works for me all the time is the aux input. I have the bluetooth module and bluetooth streaming does not work with my Iphone 5. Bluetooth phone works intermittently. It's still pretty useful if you only need aux input.

As for alternatives - my car came with nav-tv corp modules for sirius, ipod, and phone. All of them work reliably but it doesn't change the crap PCM interface. Bluetooth streaming is listed on their site as a feature yet it isn't in the user manual at all. The price for all of these units is totally insane. I would suggest going aftermarket. All you lose is a little display and a few settings you probably never look at. I'll be going that route this summer.

Wondering if anyone has tried this Viseeo unit yet for under $500 i've been thinking about trying but no reviews on Amazon yet, here's their company website

& here it is on Amazon

Interesting product, basically the same idea as the Dension, might be worth a try if you dont want to get rid of the pcm.

interesting! I have the visseo tune2air adapter in my 2011 Audi a3 and it works brilliantly. it's not as complex as what's needed in the 997, but I am very happy with that product. I wonder how well this new unit works. nice find.

Yes it a waist of money. Should have listened to my dealer and not the internet..

Jako Mar 17, 2014 08:56 AM

Sorry. What was a waste? The Dennison or the Viseeo?

The Dennison, the thing freezes all the time in ipod mode and BT hand-free echos to the point where it is unusable.

This looks promising, I would suggest anyone that is looking at getting a dension try this instead and see if it's a good alternative. Better than buying something you know is going to suck.

I wish someone would make a kit to install the PCM 3 deck into our cars. Yes Ive seen the thread here where its been done, but it leaves a lot of questions to be answered still. Ive looked at aftermarket decks but they all stick out like a sore thumb, and the only one i half way liked was the 8" Alpine as it fills the whole space rather then being a 6" screen with a plastic trim panel surround to fill the space.

Thanks op for posting and getting these results. I have been very close to pulling the trigger on the Dension unit very recently. Anxious to see what this new one brings, I wish they had focused a little bit more detail on audio quality. Seems like their main concern is Bluetooth telephone… Not mine

acf Mar 17, 2014 07:21 PM

fwiw I forgot to mention that I also had some pretty technical questions for viseeo regarding their tune2air and they answered all the questions via email very clearly.
