Black Turbo Logo for Decklid
Gang,
Anyone know where I might find a black turbo logo? The dealer only has them chrome. While I know I can paint or plastidip it I gotta believe there is an aftermarket option... |
No sooner than I posted did I find some on eBay!

Or contact Eric - top notch quality and I believe he's a board sponsor.

Suncoast has several options.http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...997tt2_emblems
Check with Randall at Park Place parts too I'm sure he can get this for you. |
Beware....the fleabay stuff is not painted, it's basic black plastic. Some of the other links are from 993 models, not 997.
What we produce is a 19 stage factory finish on the OEM emblems, complete with backing and factory rubberized adhesive, ready to install. Big difference.....if interested, email me and I'll see if we can work a special for you this week. eric@bumperplugs.com |

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-Turb...23d986&vxp=mtr It is simply a badge on the decklid, and only adds about 20 HP +/-, so not like it will make the car too unstable or perform too much worse :) Just my opinon. DC |

I have the black badge from eBay on mine. It looks fine and was $40 or so. You can't really see it anyway so why spend 5x the amount?

Don't waste penny on those things ,just take some dental floss & use like a saw & remove your existing one & paint it black & stick it back on,this is what i did several years ago in flat black ,when you remove it there will be a perfect black foam residue outline of the word turbo on the deck lid ,use some superglue to reattach the emblem to the foam.

Good suggestion. However, once removed, I would suggest using the very thin 3M moulding tape (that is what holds it on now)....You apply the moulding adhesive/tape to the back of the emblem and press it firmly, then from the back side also, you can trim just inside the outline with a Xacto knife. Then you peel the red tape off the adhesive tape and press firmly...Just like factory. This 3M stuff is pressure activated and will come off later when needed, but not before. Good luck! DC |
