Perhaps a dumb question...but, in trying to determine if this car has a limited slip differential, I image I would check the porsche window sticker and then the list of codes in the glove box?

Also, is an "electronically controlled center differential' the same?
Or, is it "Electro-Mechanical Limited Slip Differential"?

Dealer is clueless...cadillac dealer...and the salesman even more...

That car has no LSD, the electronically controlled diff refers to the front diff.

I see its in Arlington, are you in the DFW area?

I've got a document that shows all of the options and prices for the 07 turbo..not an exact match for yours but may be helpful..let me know and I can post it up..

Sure thing, any additional info is appreciated!

Interesting. I guess I would assume that a car like this would have an LSD standard. How important is LSD in a 997 Turbo for the average driver? Obviously a disadvantage at the track, but what about straight line acceleration?

I was wondering the same thing.
Plus, does LSD affect performance if you dont track the car and just enjoy some spirited jaunts here and there?

Yes sir....planning on doing so tomorrow.....the price anyway.
Local porsche dealers have not been too PPI welcoming b/c of potential liability...i found 1 indi in plano that will do it though

Dealer replaced the tire sensors and filled up the washer fluid....TPC and exclamation are gone.

Only thing left is the alignment...dealer doesn't want to do it b/c "it's not pulling"

And of course, the best part, "some guy from another state is ready to make a deposit. when can you come down?"

The clutch in my turbo is SUPER light. My guess is the slave or accumulator have gone out.

Resale is the concern...albeit at best, I will put 4k miles on it per year. I would probably trade/sell in 2 years....makes me wonder if I will even be able to get $40k out of it. I would hope, since it is a Turbo....but once these cars get to 100k, it seems the price just bottoms out...

dealer's not budging from $52k

One other thing...have you guys seen/experienced a $3k price difference in between a coupe and cabriolet? I called the banks today and their "valueing" books came back at $57,500. I checked nada.com and kbb.com and double checked the correct car and there was a $3000 price difference when comparing base prices.

If this is true, makes the car that much more appealing. Although, I'm still hung up on the miles. They're selling the car for right at average trade-in per nada....but since it's a Turbo, I'm of the opinion the issues it has should drop it down to rough trade-in...am I out of line here?

Alignment is still an issue, several paints knicks, small chip in windshield, carpet coming up on passenger side, and passenger airbag button is loose.

How'd it drive? The miles are a concern, but if it drove well and seemed to be taken care of it wouldn't scare me away..

Not sure I'd let the Caddy dealer do an alignment though..

Is this the place on the corner of Lamar and Collins? I drive by the area almost every day..

Did you get a PPI yet?

Drove great! Turbo spool was awesome! Top down/up flawless.

I agree, but dealer doesn't want to a porsche dealer/certified shop to do it.

No, wanted to get the price as low as possible first.
