997.2 TurboS GIAC OTS file traps 135.58mph
Whats up buddy! I'm running meth only to get more fuel so the car doesn't run out since I'm beyond the direct injection fueling limit. I figured out that I was running too much meth so turned it down a little and my traps got 3mph better. If I had full control of meth flow then it can be dialed in better. I've just started testing and maybe I get a better controller who knows. But more than that I just want it reliable.
Cool mate thanks... am housebound over here with another 8" of snow on the way... did manage to get out the other day in my missus new little A3 with Eurodyne tune and got some nice times for a 2.0 banger 0-100 and 1/4 mile etc... Porsche is housebound for a few more weeks...
keep up the good work.... I assume dialing in meth inj on a DFI is a bit tougher than on a BMW

But yeah I bet you are getting a little stir-crazy. Hope you get some warmer weather soon! With the M3, I couldn't get the meth to work and didn't feel like tuning for it. It caused fuel trims to go out of whack and the tune couldn't handle it. As soon as meth would flow power would drop. We tried changing nozzles sizes, start flow, max flow, RPM onset, boost onset, all sorts of things and nothing work as well as if I just turned it off

With the 997.2, it seems to be working nicely. I did notice this weekend that I was trapping 108mph in the 1/8 mile but only 133 in the 1/4 mile so I turned meth flow to 60% and cracked off 7 135mph traps in a row. That's running 100% meth. I bet lowering meth even more by mixing in 20% water might even get it faster top end. We have a couple airstrip events next month and those are great places to try stuff like that.

The other unorthodox thing that we did was put the jets into the intercooler end tanks, rather then into the y-pipe where most people do.
We never ran more then 70% meth on ours with the two 1.2mm (600cc) jets, and the results were super consistent. Best trap on his car was 139 I believe.

Jeez 139 is flying. So what mods am I missing besides 68's?
Good info thanks Tom. That was likely my problem then as I am running dual 630 nozzles. I will def mix in some distilled water at the next airstrip event. Maybe first run 100% meth then run a mix of meth and water to see the trap speed difference.

Yes...
...and yes.

Although, I think that he was able to run pretty similar times at Englishtown as well. I'd have to confirm.

Awesome Tom I had always wanted to try that. Great traps

Wow, congrats those are some awesome times! I'm so jealous, I've been wanting to get into the 10's like you're wanting into the 9's. Your 60' times are probably as good as you can expect without better track prep and drag radials. My next set of tires will be drag specific. Keep us posted when GIAC does the custom tune. Do you have to bring your car in or can you just provide the durametric data?
Adam - The A3 has issues, it is a real POS in the snow... very FWD biased and my brakes have locked up twice already in only 2-3" of snow.... comfortable car, actually steers well without much understeer believe it or not, the DSG tranny is quite laggy, the car is zippy 0 to 80 mph and then it becomes like any 2 banger... the back axle hops around like a banshee on LSD on any type of bumpy road... the technology and interior are superb like all Audis I have been in.... overall a 63/100 car IMHO

Done one and driven it myself. Awesome!
