Bringing this tread back to life; somewhat...

If you are in the market for a tuner to tune your 997.2 - look to Todd at Protomotive.

I tuned my own C6Z06 (9XX RWHP w/NOS) and E85 and helped tuned my gone but not forgotten E-Gear Gallardo and was a little iffy about getting an internet tuner to tune my .2 TTS.

I've seen and read many threads by tuners and their clients and never seen one for Todd or by Todd (Protomotive). However, I do recall watching a 997.1 being tune on the dyno remotely by Todd at a local shop. That particular car made some crazy power.

Moving forward a couple of years since seeing the 997.1 tuning episode, I was speaking to a buddy in Russia who happens to have many toys which includes 997.1 & 997.2 TTS vehicles and he told me then, if you ever get a P-car, let Todd tune it...geez, that was back in late 2012 or early 2013.

I ran across a super clean .2 TTS during work travel and said why not, picked it up a few months back and decided to mod and gave Todd a try. All I can say is: the dude knows his Porsches. We looked deeper into his tunes scanning all aspects (we have various scanning tools) and close-personal friends at one local Porsche dealers and we found that my particular tune, despite being ***** out, it has more room it - AND IT'S SAFE!

The best part I really liked, I can email or call Todd to make changes here and there and he will do so. Granted, you better know exactly what you want because he will not make adjustments without it...I don't blame him...he must protect his name, his rep and of course, your car.

I have not taken the P-car to the track (I mainly play with the Z06 for those duties), but we tried my friends Vbox, and if data is true, then this **** is showing to run 10.32's @ 131 on pump Shell 93oct with stock BS tires(33F/37R) psi. We noticed AFR's in the 11.5 to 11.8 range on top (4K to Redline); I would like to see it in the 12.20's to 12.30's range, but will wait until a true track day to see where exactly it is.

Current mods are: Protomotive tune/EP exhaust/BMC filter/Protomotive big 5" IC's/ipd Y-pipe/new bosh plugs gapped to 0.24./a recalibrated PDK. That's it!

Can't wait until track opens - I think it can run low 10's with better gas (unleaded racing fuel) or even TORCO. Torco works! I has done so in my Z06, AMG and M5 - perhaps it will in this car as well.

Thanks,
E-Gear
