Longboarder at Shift S3ctor's Airstrip Attack 8
Been lazy about putting this together of my races last weekend. I actually have another Airstrip event tomorrow (NoFlyZone) in Bakersfield, CA.
Shift S3ctor is going in the direction of the Moscow Mile and had a tree/lights set up and was an exact half mile from a dig. Other half mile events have been longer than a half mile so trap speeds and vBoxes were way off. 1/2 mile races from a dig on a dusty airstrip definitely favors the AWD PDK Turbo S. As you can see from the vid, still chasing fueling (HPFP) issues above 150mph (top of 5th and 6th gears). Leaving now for GIAC for a new tune for tomorrow. GIAC had me log so diagnosing the issue was simple. EDIT: Just got back from NoFlyZone Airstrip event this Saturday May 2, 2015 and GIAC fixed the HPFP fueling issue at 150mph and the car ran fantastic! I'll post up the vids which you will enjoy. Enjoy. |
Awesome as always! When you watch the videos it's so obvious that the torque your car makes in 2nd and 3rd gear is insane! Even those 1000hp GTR didn't pull away after those gears. Good stuff!

Great runs Adam!!
Was it 1/2 mile from cone to cone or from standing start to cone? Wish I would have been there, my engine reassembly finally starts this weekend. Delay after delay with a shop working on the crankshaft. Have fun this weekend and I hope the fuel cut problem gets solved. |
Wow I can't believe you're smashing GTR's just like that. As always great runs!

GIAC has something interesting planned for my car re fueling and more power. Let's chat soon. |

The event is getting really run as there are a lot of dig runs now. Your car is going to dominate from a dig when it's done. |
your car is really fast!!are you running a lot of boost causing fuel cut issues?
|
Nice video as always. That newer m6 surprised me.

Thx yeah the M6 is my buddy Jowe's. His car is pretty quick and actually registered 719 RWHP on some kind of dyno (which apparently is the record for this platform) not sure what kind but none of his friends with a clue believes it and based on his trap speeds I think 640-650 wheel is probably a more conservative and reasonable estimate. |
Adam - do you change gears manually on 1/2 mile runs or just drop it and bop it with the right foot ?
|
Always love your vids. Thanks.

What brand/octane of race fuel do you use for these runs? VP? If so, which?
Thanks and nice pulls! |

Thanks and nice pulls! I usually try to use Fuse unleaded 108 motor octane (rebranded Shell UGT)sold by vendor Emmanuele Design, but he was out so I used VP MS109, which I think is 105 motor octane. |
