Pdk 997.2 steering wheel on a 997.1

Hi guys I'm new here & a redeemed Porsche buyer again. I've got an 07 997.1 turbo (auto) & I have seen that the steering wheel conversion to a pdk wheel can be done but I just need some help on exactly what I need to purchase & what needs to be done. I've got the function buttons on my wheel so am I able to get the buttons with the paddle shift to work or do I have to choose either between the pdk paddle shift wheel or the pdk wheel with the function buttons?
Also if you guys have a pdk wheel for sale or know anyone selling one please let me know. Your help is much appreciated.

From what I have seen you cant get a paddle wheel with multifunction buttons if that's what your asking. It's either buttons or paddles. As far as what you need for the swap:
Steering Wheel and airbag
Module for the wheel-99761328901
Dealer or Indy to program it
The wheel swap itself is not hard but the module will take a bit of time and patience. There are lots of threads on the subject so I would suggest doing a little reading before you start. The Rock (DC) has a diy for the wheel removal I believe.
Good luck with whatever you choose. I love the paddle wheel.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply champion but I'm finding the more I read on about it the more everyone has got different parts they need & horns not working etc so I just thought I'd put it out there to get some solid info on it.
Yeah me myself I love the paddle shift but I'm just a bit hesitant because of the phone modules on the wheel that they won't be there no longer but I'm starting not to worry about that issue I think. I don't know such a tough choice

Well I can only go by my experience and it wasn't hard at all. You really only need three parts to get the job done. The wheel the airbag and the module. My car is an 09 and didn't have a multifunction wheel so I wasn't loosing anything in the swap. The paddles work perfectly just as the buttons did. I say go for it. You wont regret having the pdk wheel.
Cheers

Is it for just the wheel? If it's for wheel and airbag it's a good price. I paid 1200 for both and then sold my wheel so it didn't cost that much. I usually see the wheel alone go for 6-7 hundred but have seen them sell on ebay for 4-5 a couple of times.

Yes he wants $1050 just for the wheel alone which I thought was a bit much. I cant seem to find a cheap paddle shift wheel.

For 200 more you can get a nicer wheel from FVD with paddles.

Yeah I have an 07 turbo. Just sourcing the control module, airbag & paddle shifts.
Will let you know how it all goes. Apparently a few people on here have done it & it all seems to run fine so fingers crossed

Pdk 997.2 steering wheel on a 997.1

Very keen to know how this goes. Would love paddles.

Are any of the paddle wheels compatible? There are a ton of varied models out there.

Apparently from what I have read you can put any pdk wheel on the 997.1 as long as the airbag & module is changed over to suit.
I'm just working off what people on here are saying so I'm hoping it works cause it's an expensive process

From what I have been told and researched you CAN'T put the PDK paddle wheel on an 07 USA car. I would love to know if it is possible too.
