Seen some incredible builds from these guys and I'm lucky to be so close to them so dropped my car off for a little interior work - Alcantara steering wheel with Porsche Yellow ring to match the PCCB calipers, some more alcantara on the center console, and GT3 alcantara parking brake lever.

To top it off I ditched the (very heavy and uncomfortable) 14-way adaptive seats for some Recaro Sportster CS seats with the BBI seat rails. BBI says I saved 80 pounds not sure if this is correct but there is some weight savings.

So happy with the outcome. I feel like I'm truly driving a super car and so much more connected given that the only things you hold/touch are the seat and steering wheel. Should have done this a while ago.

Looks very functional and OEM like which to me is what I would be looking for! Weight savings like that is always good for everything and 80lbs IS NOTHING TO COUGH AT!

Just kidding, looks really good bro. I'm having them redo my interior while it's out there as well. I have the Cayman R seats in mine which are definitely lighter than the adaptives. Those Recaros look the business though!

Not just driving to the events...during my races haha. In fact when I was last at the drag strip at Fontana I had both AC on and seat AC on. The guy at the start line was like...."bro you have a leak under your car" it was just the condenser dripping.

Saw your car at BBI yesterday. Was actually checking it out didn't know it was yours until you just mentioned it now and remembering yours is black with the black OZs.

 

Looks good Adam do they recline ? & are they a hard back on the backs i love having painted seat backs .

 

Hey Adam, yeah they have a manual recline. And they go forward/back manually as well. Seat position for me is perfect despite not having an up/down/tilt feature like the 14-way adaptives.

Back is hard plastic see pic. Not carbon fiber but at only $1,500 each they are a terrific value.

The Porsche carbon fiber seats from the GT-based cars are incredible but nearly $20k installed. For $3k plus rails and install these Recaros are just as comfortable and sturdy but the backing is plastic not carbon fiber and so a little heavier. Here's a frontal pic and I took a pic of the plastic back in my post above.
