I would like to hear some feedback from people who have tried Cobb and other options like Protomotive on FBO cars. I am mainly concerned about support and ease of adjusting tunes.

I had Proto on my car starting with just a tune, then Proto 63s. I wanted to use Proto for the tune for my 68s but at that time I couldn't get a hold of Todd - turns out he was sick for a while. It's always a concern when you deal with a "one man show" instead of a corporate entity. It was fairly easy upgrading tunes via laptop and odb cord. Cobb Accessport is in a league of its own as far as ease of switching files and datalogging. Your level of support is dependent on your choice of programmer...

Right now we are slower to respond as there is 2 of us in all of Porsche for the most part and we are trying to get 991.2 out the door. To add to that I was on vacation so there was no one here to really answer questions.

I responded to your email feel free to email me and we can chat and I will happy to solve your issue regardless of what it takes. We pride ourselves on customer support, but with such a small staff in Porsche at the moment we are wearing a lot of hats and it is slowing us down.

Thanks!

Cobb has been working awesome on my car, but yeah my original tuner is out of the game so making small changes to the maps is a pain, its been a few months just trying to work out a minor issue. Problem is tuners who tune for a short while and then you cant get a hold of them.

I am waiting for guys at Cobb, if that doesnt work ill drop Emre an email and maybe get the whole thing retuned.

Sam has been helpful as always free of charge, he is busy with his own stuff.

My dzenno map is solid, but we cant edit it, maps are locked. He has some things turned off to make sure no CEL and we need some things back on enabled.

Wish maps were unlocked, would have been a simple fix. Having the car completely retuned for small changes is not ideal.

If you're looking for a map to turn all the sensors on just use the stock baseline map, and don't drive it hard. Those minicats you recommended to me worked like a charm.

yep i tried the Cobb 1300 OTS map, car runs lean at idle since i have bigger intakes and plenum. I get all monitors to set as "ready" minus 1 or 2, and by the time i get to the test station Lean CEL comes on

ive asked a few tuners to adjust the Cobb OTS 1300 map to offset the idle lean, and its been 3 months of waiting. Dzenno map has perfect fueling.

Oh I see. I meant the stock Porsche oem software. It worked for me with the ID1000s and stock tb and plenum. Which turbos do you have?
