Help! 997.1 TT sucking oil into the intake.
So its time for a brains trust before I pull all of my hair out.
Just had the motor out to pin all the coolant lines and install the sharkwerks elbows. Got everything back together and in the car. It fired right up but blew a lot of smoke. I was concerned and pulled the plugs and a lot of oil came out the passenger side cylinders. Then after draining a couple of quarts to make sure it wasnt overfilled it ran fine but continued to smoke and burn oil from both sides. The Y-pipe and intake lines are free and dry, but behind the throttle body the plenum was absolutely coated. It looks like oil is being pulled out of the tank by the short hose that goes from the back of the plenum to the fitting on the tank with the three prongs on it. Has anybody else come across this? have we switched two lines and are somehow sucking oil out of the tank? I've never seen this before and its driving me crazy. Thanks. |
Did you get your issues fixed? I am having the same problem and my mechanic is about to go crazy because he could not find the source of that white smoke except there is oil pooling on the 5th cylinder.
