Car is coming along well. What plugs are you planning on running? I went with the PK20s and haven't had a single issue.

Haven't looked at plugs yet. The dealer had put in new plugs right before I picked it up so I'll leave these in until I start turning up the boost. Thanks for the suggestion though. Guessing people typical run 1 range colder.

Shocks and springs are installed. Car feels way better, closer to the feel of the M3. The stock setup is very floaty in comfort mode. I'll try to post pics of it lowered soon whenever weather permits.

Now it really needs wheels lol. Looking at BBS LM-R and Champion RG5

Going to be awesome. I'm really glad you posted this because I've never done that Eibachs. Looks great! What are your impressions on the ride?

Ride is definitely firmer on the shorter bilstein shocks but not where its uncomfortable. This will depend on individual tolerance of course.

Stock is terrible on comfort setting, coming from multiple vintage M3 ownership I can tell you BMW does it better in my opinion. I see many people on the forums mention how much better they like the ride after a spring install and I could see why.

If you don't want to spend the cash for coilovers this is a good way to go. Honestly the only reason I swapped shocks was because of the mileage the stock ones had. If they had less miles on them I would have just installed springs. Again for me that is enough. I know some only will do coilovers and if your car is seeing track duty then I agree with coilovers

Wheels came in, waiting on tires now. Had to place one next to the car just to see how they will look. Much better than stock I think :)

I should have the tires by Monday, need to get them to the installer next week. Hopefully by next weekend I could snap a couple of pics. Weather hasn't been great lately, a lot of rain.

Well Memorial Day weekend was the target date to install my Kline exh, intake, etc. Instead I ended up dropping the engine to fix coolant leaks. About a week before Memorial Day I spotted the leak, looked like it was rolling off front and back of the engine so I figured it was the 3 plastic elbows under the oil coolers.

So I was left with no choice, I decided to do it now before it had a true failure. I will upgrade the entire cooling circuit around the engine, all new lines, o-rings, welded coolant pipes and the Sharkwerks elbows. I want to have piece of mind and if I ever sell it I am sure the new owner would appreciate this work being done already, I know I would have!

Here are a few pictures, sorry for the mess in the garage but I just got my floor done so I haven't had a chance to put everything back in place. A buddy of mine and me start to finish took 6 hours to pull it, first time either of us do a Porsche (we have built many many M3s). I'll put it back together as time allows. The other typical goodies will be installed as well like the clutch, intake pipes etc.

Man you are getting intimate with the platform from the get go!! Good stuff. I am in the process of adding a few things and changing the spark plugs and holy mother!! Plugs on a 997 are NOT as straight forward as plugs on a 996. If you haven't done them, do them now that you have that beast out. I am aiming on doing my coolant fittings this winter.
