Help Pls: Leaking from front brake caliper's bleeder screw.

Plan to bring car to the shop, asking simply because I would like to know more about the topic in advanced.

Car is 2008 Turbo with PCCB. No recent work on brake - brake fluid was changed but that was about a year ago IIRC. Recently I noticed paint on caliper around the bleeder screw is peeling and upon searching on internet, found out that this is a sign of brake fluid leak. Questions please and thanks in advance:

1. Any reason why it fails spontaneously like that? Age of car?
2. How is this typically fixed? New bleeder screw? Tightening of bleeder screw?
3. Any chance that this means I need a new caliper? (Hope not!:o)

I doubt you need a new caliper. Was the bleed screw simply not torque down enough ?

I had this issue on my 996tt. Just one bleed leaked. I bought the speed bleeder replacement from ECS. Did all 4 wheels. Problem solved for $7 a wheel.
