Interesting read. Thanks for sharing.

A POS article IMO. HP and TQ numbers are wrong, and the 3.6L Mezger was only available in the 07's through 09's. The 3.6L was replaced with the 3.8L DFI in 2010 and don't know where the author got his prices from because they are not accurate too. It's painfully apparent the author did not do any homework before writing this totally misleading and inaccurate article.

yeah I'd say their prices are very optimistic. I know some high mileage cars are in the 50s and 60s but very few and far between. a nice clean 997tt with under 40-50k miles will still set you back 70k and the minty low mile cars are 75-90k

au2bahn Jan 20, 2017 12:41 PM

Info is waay off and very misleading.

Author is in the market for a 997 Turbo! Trying to drive prices down! Lol! If anyone has a nice 997 Turbo for around 45k PM me! I'll buy a couple of them! Tip is fine for that price! ;)

My thoughts exactly!!! Haha

honestly, no matter what the author writes, whoever reads that article and starts looking up 997TT prices on cars, autotrader or ebay will quickly find out they have been lied to.

Honestly, I think getting more fans for our cars is a good thing. If the subscribers to his website are now looking into our cars - all the better!

"No such thing as bad publicity".

The spirit of the article is correct. It's a very special car. I wish he would have written this article after I've saved enough to buy one, haha.

I have a theory that once the manual shift GT3 comes out, all 997's will slightly drop in value. Also the 991.2 C4S currently offers similar performance to the 997.1TT and might persuade some buyers to pursue the newer Porsche. We'll see if any of these factors impact the 997 one way or another.
