I saw a mint used GT4 at the dealer the other day and I kinda got the itch to do a trade for my TTS. I wasn’t really serious, but I told the dealer to give me an idea of what my car would trade for before I even considered moving forward with a possible deal.

Its a 2011 TTS Cab with 21,000 miles. Excellent condition, no major issues ever, no accidents.

They said $67,000 on a trade!
WTF!!
That seems crazy low.
Did the car really take that much of a hit in 6 years? That’s almost $110,000 below MSRP.

Sounds fair if he'll take $50K for the GT4.

Really low. Is yours a manual trans car? If you're looking at GT4's, aside from the DME report, you need to know the MSRP on the car. GT4's started at $85K and some were heavily optioned up to $130K. From a dealer with CPO warranty, low miles, expect to pay $5-7K over MSRP.

The dealer is not serious. My car fetched $90K 'clean' trade-in price and it was a 2013 TTS w/ 37,800 miles, factory aero kit. A 2011 TTS w <22,000 miles should be north of $75K.

I called the same salesman again and asked him for an explanation as to why they offered $67k when I see the same car selling for $95-105 at other dealers on autotrader. He said he would get back to me right away...and never called back.

In the end the GT4 looked great, but it had 2 negatives: no carbon ceramics and the tires were shredded and it was so obvious it had been on a track. The salesman assured me he knows the seller so well because he’s “a special client” and “he never tracks.” Yeah right!

TTS's didn't come with a manual, they are all PDK. And that's an insult offer. Walk away and NEVER go back. They don't value you as a customer.
