By Design Stage 4 997.2TTS Dyno With Kline Innovation Exhaust

Hey guys,

Wanted to share a fun dyno vid of a car we finished yesterday. It's running our Stage 4 package and the By Design/Kline Spec Exhaust is just singing!

Cheers guys. May go for a kill map soon but going for pump/meth reliably. The car is a riot to drive and the Dodson clutch chirps all 4 in 3rd gear! What I really like is how the new VTG’s come in progressively so the pull and grip feel great.

3llooi Stage 4 is bolt-one and our VTG’s. These By Design/TiAL 68’s can make up to 800+ wheel with more fuel. We were able to do it the 991’s.

Sam as usual nice work! I see you are sharing your love from the 991's to include 997.1's & 997.2's and your making all of the platforms haul serious butt!

I noticed your dyno stops at 6200rpm's and was wondering if you have a pull for the entire rpm band?

I know the 997.2's where running out of fuel up top, as their DFI limited fuel systems was being taxed as people pushed it.

Congrats on a serious machine my friend!

And stock motor is the same as 991s?

Seems to be an unverified thing... not sure though

Hey Bobby! Thanks. We are very careful on the fuel and I want to car to be extremely reliable for him. But itís also the Dino we didnít want to bounce off the Revlimid her and itís always got to be set for little short. The car actually goes up 4-500 RPM more than it reads.

The motors are close but not identical. Same exact turbocharger abs comp set-up but with the smaller non .2 turbine housing weíve gone up to 767 on a stock motor and 819 stock bottom end and some light head work. Posted on the 991 side

Hi y996tt,
We can do the same although you get a little bit less response with the 3.6. Actually just recently we did 771 to 4 wheels with almost 800tq running our 68mm on a 3.8L built 997 for DGuth. Otherwise the 65mm are awesome and they make 700 AWHP running ethanol on the 997.1. We’ve done so so many, lots posted about on here. It’s a really nice set up and we can bring in the power gently so it’s safe.

Hi Sam which turbos are better the 65mm or the 63.5 mm for the 997.1turbo

The 65 is bigger and can absolutely move more air. 63.5 is a little more of a generic compressor upgrade so it’s another option. The 65 being a TiAL/Xona HTZ makes it one of if not the best aftermarket compressor wheels available on the market. It’s capable of more and is on a different level in my humble opinion. With more ignition timing you can achieve 700 to the wheels on 63.5 as well but you’re squeezing. Also they are little more aggressive on the rods. Higher end I guess you could say And having them fully rebuilt and upgraded/balanced at TiAL with a spec clip has never done me wrong.

One example of their capability…The first 991TT 9 second quarter mile run in the United States we did with the 65mm. And finally with more testing and machining we got the 68 mm settled in there really well. But again on a 3.6 you can feel it’s a little bit lazier. Not much but for the picky guy you feel it. Jaime on here has them on his beautiful white 997.1 so far so good. 650 to the wheels on pump. DGuths 997.1 did about 685 on pump and that soccer moves 600g/s or about 22-25% more than a 63.5 maxes out.
