997.1 ByDesig Stage 4 E85 Dyno Numbers

If you followed my build thread, it has been a while since provided any updates. If you haven't read it, here is the link so you can catch up:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ure-heavy.html

I been busy with my second boy arriving to the world, which of course takes priority. But whenever I had a bit of free time, I was going back and forth with Sam fine tuning the E85 map. We finally felt comfortable with the map we had and it was time to dyno. The car felt strong and I knew we were making good power, but I was pleseantly surprised when I saw the numbers.

Comparison between 93 pump and E85 is completely night and day. The car drives smooth. Aside from hearing the exhaust and looking under the car noticing the headers, it would be hard for someone who doesn't know these cars, to know how much power they are capable of producing.

I want to thank Sam again for putting together a SERIOUS package and for somehow ALWAYS being available. It is beyond me on how this man has time for all his customers as if they are his ONLY ones (clones maybe...??).

Also a BIG shoutout to "M3 Maestro", the man just has a ton of knowledge when it comes to anything turbo, LITERALLY! He has been collecting a lot of data and sharing it with the community. Thanks for the feedback as always and I am glad you are NO longer selling the 997

So now on to the numbers and a few pictures. The car is as solid as its gonna get. Only step left is to build the engine, but we shall see when that comes around. For now, I am going to enjoy it as often as I can.

Glad to see the virtual dyno and my estimates where pretty close. I knew this was a 750whp car. Knowing this car ran with the same file I saw the data on I can say its not tuned on the ragged edge or anything like that, it has more room to go (assuming he does the rods) . Mine is tuned more aggressive put it that way (to achieve the same 60-100mph times 2.5sec) on my smaller 63.5 vtgs. The car has room on boost, fuel, and timing to keep going but damn those pesky rods lol

I have mentioned it a few times on the forums, I really like my Protomotive 63.5mm but I also liked what I saw in the data for the TiAL 68mm..better than the CMS 68 i have seen. Glad to see Sam has a couple 997s now with these 68s putting down serious power.

Enjoy the car bud, you did lots of pre-work and went thru it with a fine tooth comb and the results show. Great build

Thanks Maestro! The little shoulder devil is locked in a cage right now, else it gets tempted to keep pushing the envelope lol

Thanks bud! Great question, maybe with the data Maestro has collected with the 63.5 and these 68s and if you send data logs his way, he can provide some input. He was pretty dead on (off by 1 whp lol) in estimating my numbers.

Thanks my friend. If you click on the link on my first post of this thread, all that data and much more is there, from the same dyno.

My personal stock motor best! My friend it's no coincidence, you earned it! Top notch parts, servicing and attention to detail. It also takes patience, great data collection and trust in your crack dealer/tuner so thank you! Enjoy it in good health man and no we will not be pushing any more lol! Maybe when we build the motor but so far she is up there with some room to grow. Big thanks to my entire team!

Haha. Come to the dark side, 330ci The 991s are fun. The .2TTS are freakin fast, bone stock. I ran a 10.51 @ 132 in mine. Basic bolt-ons, on pump gas and they are already in the high 9s. Already got a catless Kline from Sam sitting here calling to me
