A mint low-mile 2009 is certainly the one to have, they're pretty rare, are the last Turbo with the Mezger engine and have the improved PCM to make the interior look nicer.

In case you're serious, there's one that was listed on the Rennlist classifieds yesterday that might fit that bill. Guy sounds like he's in a hurry to sell.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see $85-$100k 997tt 6spd prices as a norm.

Look at how high gated Ferraris have gone, and those cars suck!
You can't compare them though - you are looking at huge difference of production numbers. And while there was a big difference between gated cars and F1 cars, now the gap has decreased considerably in the last few months.

Sure, or a bunch of other modern dual-clutch/automatic cars. The point of the 997 Turbo 6-speed market is the manual transmission, which is going extinct across the board. If someone gave me $85k to go buy a 911 today, it wouldn't be one with a PDK or Tip. (Nor a Cab, for that matter.)

Re: the OP, a couple of somewhat low-mile (18k and 28k) Turbos in the 6speed classifieds have sold fast recently in the mid-to-upper $80s. (Though, oddly, a 24k-mile one on BaT couldn't make it past $71k yesterday.)

so are you saying the 997.2 turbo s won't hold very good value from this point on?
i think for 80k it's a TON of car

Just the opinion of a random guy on the internet, but I think the Turbo S is going to face some downward pressure from the 991 Turbo as those depreciate. On the TTS, you're already giving up the Mezger heritage for the same 9A1 engine, plus the driving engagement from the 6-speed, and the 991 is frankly just a better car in every way. The 6-speed .1 and .2 Turbos have a very strong value proposition thanks to that transmission, since the prime allure of the 997 is its vintage throwback vibe.

In a similar vein, a TTS is way more car than a 993TT, but which one's worth more?

Speaking only for myself, but as another example, if someone gave me $85k to buy a 911 and it had to be a PDK, I'd probably just spend a few more bucks for the 991 Turbo.
