Got this FedEx'd from Porsche Cars North America:
- Top track speed: 193mph
- 0-60 mph: 3.7 sec. manual/3.4 sec. Tiptronic S
- 50-75 mph: 3.8 maunal/3.5 Tiptronic S
- Acceleration 1/4 mile: 11.8 sec. maunual/11.6 sec. Tiptronic S

Wow! This would be the first that I've heard of an automatic being faster than a manual! But still, I don't think I could possibly live with an automatic sports car! Seems like sacrilege!

That is really hard to believe that the Tip will be that much faster... How much more will the Tip weigh?

...I'm sure faster spooling turbo's will help "mask" the heft but on the track you simply cannot run away from the truth/mass.....that kinda mass will kill it's potential of ever being a "serious" track car....I think the new 997 GT3 is a FAR better buy for the $$$ and I'm glad they're still producing "passion" (unless luxury, heated seats, cup holders, vibrating *** bolsters, etc. is what you're looking for in a "sportscar" lol...which for THIS country, the $130+K demographic wants exactly that...for the most part...hence the marketing failure of the GT2*)
