my first 1/4 mile

hi! finally tested my 2011 turbo in 1/4 mile. i have never raced except in half mile events, i must admit it was fun too. i have custom tune, modified vtg by SAM, y pipe, plenum and exxhaust. my best time was 10.85 rection time 1.3 with a speed of 129. my 60 ft was 1.75. i kept missing launches, my tires are PS4, they were spinning all over, 30 psi in the back. temperature was well over 90 here in Puerto Rico. it was a really nice event. looking forward to another one.

hi sam!! is Hector the one with the red 991? he had some boost leak due to a clamp, but he ran 10.46 or something, fastest was one of your original proyects the black 991.91 he ran flat 10 at 139... i couldnt log because i unistalled cobb (sorry jeje) and tried my mechanic tune (oscar velez) it did pretty good, now i need to learn to launch. heat here is a killer. hope your ok, nice seen ya around

Assuming you used launch control. Did you leave traction control button on or off?
I've heard it doesn't matter and that the ECU takes over during launch control anyway.

Probably just the really high heat there.

check the age of your tires

Nice run ,

not too bad for first time out but these cars run those times and traps bone stock. lot's of room for improvement.

I was going to say that but there is definitely room to improve.

Are you running meth?

buffalosojah 09-14-2018 04:05 AM

Nice job. Excited about my first time going to the track.

Jose Hernandez 09-14-2018 07:25 AM

I m running meth also.. yes, inthink there is room for improvement, it’s been a long journey with the car having several issues down the road. Apparently all the gremlins are out of the car now, so the tuner will crank it up a little bit... my main goal is in the half mile to get 170 mph.. my best time was 168 more than a year ago. That time had cobb protune... but i think another trip to the 1/4 mile is certain. Best times of event were 10flat.. mostly 11’s...

Ran my first 1/4 in my 2012 TTS also this wknd. I totally botched the launch control on the second run but it was my quicker run.

Completely stock with only a Europipe Exhaust. I ran a 10.96 @ 124.10 MPH
